Suite No. 2 (for solo viola)

Suite No. 2 (for solo Viola) is a short suite in three movements. It is comprised of a prelude, scherzo, and an allemande.The inspiration for this piece was to create a short emotionally diverse piece for viola.The piece as a whole functions on an ternary level.The Scherzo is book ended by two slower movements and the material from the first movement is reiterated in a stately chant-like manner and expounded upon.This is the second suite in a series for solo instruments. No choreography has been designated, but should there be an opportunity for it to be danced it is highly encouraged.
