I Can't Breathe

I Can't Breathe is an elegy in memoriam of Eric Garner. Eric Garner was one of many victims of wrongful racially fueled police brutality in this country. His death, along with many others sparked the Black Lives Matter movement and this piece is meant to serve a two fold purpose. Firstly, to give recognition to the deplorable act that took Eric's life, and secondly, to provoke thought and action in others to bring justice to those who need it. There is much to be said about this incident, and others like it, but I am a composer so I wrote some music about it instead.
